Come join us at the Women's Resources Center Summer Book Club as we read
the works of an award-winning writer and scholar Jean Braithwaite's *Fat:
The Story of My Life With My Body. * This memoir maps out Jean's
relationship with her body--fat, thin, and transitioning--and at obesity in
modern America culture. Her book both chronicles and challenges biases
related to fat, fitness, diets, and discrimination. It is a must-read for
anyone with concerns about the cost to their daughters, sisters, and
friends of eating disorders, diets, and the struggle to conform to rigid
beauty standards.  ****
