Jariko, formerly known as Jared Yates, is an American singer/songwriter
who began his musical journey in the small, homey town of Danville,
Illinois. Realizing his steadfast, stalwart desire to use his musical
gift as a means to spark a positive change in peoples lives he began
honing his skills by finding solace in the artistry of internationally
acclaimed musicians Elton John and Darren Hayes of Savage Garden.
At 12 he picked up the microphone and inspired audiences wherever he
could find them by making sets and costumes of his own design. Using a
spray painted, technicolor boom box as his P.A. system he started
developing his stage presence and unique vocal abilities. Six years
later his fans in Illinois, with the help of his family, convinced him
to audition for the fourth season of the popular hit show on FOX called

Stephen LeonardSTEPHEN LEONARD

A native of the Detroit, Michigan area, Stephen's 2010 debut album
"With A Pen" earned him a rightful place in Chicago's expanding
independent music scene. The album's eponymous single garnered
attention for its new-age, acoustic rock vibes, with local critics
applauding the singer's restrained vulnerability and storytelling
lyrics. Stephen also lends his perspective to Chicago's
GayChicagoTV.com, and has appeared in numerous Midwest campaigns
promoting equality and acceptance of the LGBT community and other
persecuted persons. He was named one of the Top 30 under 30 in Chicago

have often talked about putting something together outside of the

Dirty FeathersDIRTY FEATHERS

The Dirty Feathers are a five-piece psychedelic garage rock band from
Champaign, IL. Coming off the 2011 release of their debut album,
Midnight Snakes, they’ve started to garner some attention through
positive reviews from national and local press alike. They pride
themselves on the energy and originality displayed through their live
show, and strive to capture that dynamic in their recordings.

Desafinado has recorded their new record in 2011. Based in
Champaign-Urbana, IL, Desafinado is a seven piece ensemble that plays a
combination of Samba, Bossa Nova, and MPB (Musica Popular
Brasileira). Venues they have played include Chicago's Millenium Park,
The Chicago Cultural Center, The Krannert Center for the Performing
Arts, 2009 Artists Against AIDS benefit, The Springer Cultural Center,
The Up Club, VIV Wine Bar, The Cowboy Monkey, and Pages for All Ages.
Desafindao has been featured on local NPR affiliate WILL AM-580,
Channel 12 TV, as well as community radio station WEFT 90.1 FM.
Desafinado was nominated "Best Jazz Artist" by WPGU (107.1 FM) for the
2007, 2008, and 2009 local music awards, and the band has received
positive reviews in local entertainment guide Buzz Magazine.

Energetic and unabashedly romantic, The Duke of Uke & His Novelty
Orchestra enchants audiences with witty lyrics, complex vocal harmonies
and funky rhythms. Their infectiously optimistic sound draws from a
wide range of influences—from classical composers such as Bach, to tin
pan alley ragtime tunes, to rock and roll artists of the '60s and 70s.

KATIE FLYNN

Katie Flynn is very excited to be performing for the Champaign-Urbana
Pridefest. Katie is known for singing jazz standards around the
Champaign-Urbana area. She's performed at V.Picasso and Jim Goulds, as
well as the Meadowbrook Park Jazz Walk and Friday Night Live. She
currently sings at Boltini Lounge Thursday evenings. She also loves
showtunes, Chicago, wine, and chasing after her two angelic children,
Walter and Lois.

STIGMA

STIGMA (Sean Smith) is a Champaign-Urbana native that found his love of
music early in his high school career. During high school, STIGMA
traveled with his acapella group to places such as Nashville, Chicago,
and St. Louis. More recently, STIGMA has participated in the earlier
production stages of Oxygen's TV show, "The Glee Project". Earlier this
year, he collaborated with and is currently on tour with Rod Sickler,
an internationally acclaimed hair stylist and director for Big Sexy
Hair.

MIKE & KAYLA

Mike and Kayla have been performing together for years and do a wide
variety of mostly modern (but some 80's) covers that are both
entertaining and beautiful. Don't miss this excellent evening of music.
No one sings better harmonies than these guys.

ILLINI CONTRABAND
5:00 PM (Main Stage)
Illini Contraband is a cover band that covers almost everything. We
love our horn section. Ska, rock, pop, etc — and we’re always willing
to learn more. We’re based in Champaign-Urbana, and we are a Registered
Student Organization at the University of Illinois. The most important
thing you should know about us is that we want to play for you!

ABE FROMAN PROJECT

The Abe Froman Project is a four-year-old improv comedy troupe based in
Champaign-Urbana. They do a free show every Monday night at Mike 'N'
Molly's in downtown Champaign.

CARNIVALE DEBAUCHE
10:45 PM (88 Stage)
Carnivale Debauche is a burlesque/vaudeville troupe in Champaign-Urbana
comprised of buresque dancers, musicians, original music, comedians,
hoopers, spinners, fire breathers/eaters, and other oddities.
With their collection of freaks and beauties, Carnivale Debauche has
become a premiere burlesque and vanderville extravaganza.

T.R.U.T.H.
6:30 PM (88 Stage)
Not looking for fame or riches Chicago representer, T.R.U.T.H is
looking to be heard. She has been writing poetry and raps since the age
of 7. Hip-Hop is her first love and she works hard everytime she grabs
the pen to ensure she is honest with herself and her craft. She
recently has began applying her skills in front of the mic exclusively
and hopes ears will open wide to listen to her story and the new talent
she prepares to bring to the game. So pay close attention and you won't
be upset you did. Welcome the Emcee...T.R.U.T.H and witness dopeness.

CLASSY COMBINATIONS

Classy Combinations is a student belly dance troupe through the Urbana
and Champaign Park Districts, and Parkland College. The ladies of
Classy Combinations share a love for art form of belly dance,
performing together at various festivals and gatherings. They hope you
will delight in their performance as much as they do!

Zoo Improv performs long-form style improv comedy. This group of local
performers is a non-profit organization that has improvising together
to since 2005.
