*C4A Live at Indi-Go Concert Series: Third Thursdays of the Month***

On Thursday, Jan. 17 at 7 p.m., C4A Live at Indi-Go will feature Rob Krumm
on guitar and Doug Schroer on harmonica, playing and singing blues, western
swing, traditional country music, and folk songs at the Indi-Go Artist
Co-op, 9 E. University ave., in downtown Champaign.

The two musicians have been making music together for the past 15 to 20
years. In the 1990's they were both members of the SqueeGees, a local rock
and soul band. Several years ago, they formed the Backyard BBQ Band and
played a regular series of gigs at the Iron Post. Together, they cut a wide
swath through the American roots music catalog.

Krumm currently plays with Creole Stomp and L'Esprit Creole, two national
touring bands. He was also a member of the local Cajun/Zydeco band, the
Noisy Gators. He teaches group guitar classes at the Community Center for
the Arts in downtown Urbana, and created the popular Guitar From Scratch
class.

Schroer was a member of the local jazz band, Groove Yard. He also played
and sang in The Martini Brothers, a local band playing Memphis rock, blues,
and soul from the '50s and '60s. He has played numerous gigs with the
Prairie Dogs, and regularly sits in with many other area bands, playing
across many styles. Schroer teaches harmonica at the Community Center for
the Arts, offering beginning harmonica lessons and workshops.

*C4A Live at Indi-Go* is a regular monthly concert series at 7 p.m. on the
third Thursday of every month. Musicians from the Community Center for the
Arts play music from their combined repertoire of classical, world folk,
and popular music. They also teach individual and group lessons in a
variety of insturments and styles. Indi-Go Artist Co-op is a gallery
providing a local venue for emerging and established artists to enrich the
Champaign-Urbana community. C4A Live @ Indi-Go concerts are free and open
to the public.

“C4A’s music faculty is made up of some of our community’s best performers
who play in a wide range of styles. It will be a great opportunity for
folks to come out on a Thursday night, relax and enjoy some great music.
Indi-Go’s gallery is an intimate space that makes a great alternative to
the bar scene for listening to music and connecting with the musicians,”
said Joe Reichlin, events coordinator at C4A. “We’re excited by the
opportunity to build connections between the Urbana and Champaign art
scenes by working together with Indi-Go,” he added.
