CUDO and Krannert Center Team Up for PechaKucha Night<http://www.krannertcenter.com/performance.aspx?id=2013521134820721128174106178>
Saturday, July 20, 2013, at 8:20pm; doors open at 7:30pm
Krannert Center, Lobby
FREE admission

First devised by a pair of Tokyo architects in 2003, PechaKucha Night has become an international phenomenon that uses a simple concept to create big community exchanges. Presenters have 20 images and 20 seconds per image to share their ideas, works, and passions for a total of 6 minutes and 40 seconds flat.

The July 20 event will be the 13th PechaKucha Night hosted by the Champaign-Urbana Design Organization (CUDO) and the fourth collaboration between CUDO and Krannert Center for the Performing Arts. In addition to nine unique speakers, the night will include free admission, DJ Mertz spinning at Stage 5 beginning at 7:30pm, and beer specials throughout the night. Topics and perspectives vary widely, but the high energy and diverse creativity have undeniable appeal to all. Adult language is a possibility so those with sensitive ears be forewarned!

Confirmed presenters for PKN Volume 13 include:
Irenka Carney - I Can't Do Art

Brandon Dohman - Umpiring and Leadership

Zack Grant - Food, Farming, Community, and the Land Grant

Maria Lux - Big Pork

Cara Maurizi - How Improv Changed My Life

Michael Morgan - O Captain, My Captain

Eduardo Torrealba - The Internet of Things

Deke Weaver & Jennifer Allen – WOLF

Thank you to the top-tier sponsors: Illini Student Housing (property management company for 309 Green, Lofts 54 and Campustown Rentals), and Unisource.
