This is shaping up to be a HUGE COMMUNITY EVENT this year, and we
couldn't be more excited! We now have over 100 people who will be
spending 12 hours outside in downtown Champaign in a cardboard
refrigerator box.

YOU ARE INVITED!!! Please plan to come downtown tomorrow night and
experience One Winter Night for yourself. It's sure to be a
powerful time of community coming together for an important cause.
Everything kicks off at 6:00pm in and around the City Building on the
corner of Neil and University.

C-U at Home One Winter Night (
http://www.cuathome.us/one-winter-night-2016 ) is TOMORROW, on Friday,
February 5, 2016. More than 150 people from all walks of life--the
Mayor, Chiefs of Police, other elected officials, pastors, business
people, teachers, students, grandparents, and kids--all spend 12 hours
outside in a cardboard box. The goal is to raise awareness and to
raise funds to help us help our friends in the community who are
without an address.

Our OWN goal this year is $150,000. That is about 2/3 of our total
operating budget for 2016. Please take a moment and view our One
Winter Night Webpage ( http://www.cuathome.us/one-winter-night-2016/ )
where you can scroll down and find your favorite box dweller. Please
consider a donation on their behalf.

In addition to the more than 150 people staying in cardboard boxes
that night, our hope is to provide educational opportunities about our
friends without an address. We will have 8 speaker presentations in
the City Council Chambers of the City Building from 6pm-10pm. Please
plan to come learn more about women and homelessness, mental illness
and homessness and more. You will also have the opportunity to hear
first-had from two different people how they have gone from
homelessness to successful lives.

This is a powerful event for the whole family to come and experience,
so please mark your calendars and plan to come to downtown Champaign
TOMORROW NIGHT, Friday, February 5, and experience One Winter Night (
http://www.cuathome.us/one-winter-night-2016/ ) for yourself.

The Phoenix: Hope Is Rising - A Full-Length Feature Film

The Phoenix: Hope Is Rising is the name of our C-U at Home documentary
which will have its worldwide premiere at One Winter Night.

The story of C-U at Home, from conception to birth to its growth, is
being chronicled through this new documentary. Two professional
videographers, Phil Gioja and Isaac Musgrave, are editing the
interviews and video footage to develop this full length documentary
film.

A BIG THANK YOU to all of our friends who have agreed to be
interviewed as a part of this documentary project. We can't wait
to see how this turns out!

The Phoenix: Hope Is Rising ( http://www.thephoenixhopeisrising.com/
