*Dear Americorps Members,
*Please find pasted below the performance measures that we (the IMC) will be
reporting on.  I have provided this information for your general knowledge
and to assist us in reporting requirements.  Please see me with any
questions, though I know you'll have them, I'm not scheduling a collective
meeting until after the measures have been approved.


*Volunteer Outreach and Engagement*
Result: Output
AmeriCorps members will educate community members about the UCIMC at 25
community events
throughout the course of the year.
    Indicator: community volunteers recruited
       Target: 400 community members sign up to volunteer with the UCIMC.
 Target Value:        400
  Instruments: Each booth or event will be equipped with sign-up sheets.
Interested community members will
               share name and email addresses to be recorded in the UCIMC
database and numbers will be
               collected for monthly reports, so that the UCIMC can keep
track of overall progress.
PM Statement: 400 community members sign up to volunteer with the UCIMC.

Result: Output
                 volunteers will follow up with these community members,
inviting them to specific volunteer
                 opportunities with the UCIMC.
Prev. Yrs. Data: No data are available for previous years, this will be the
first year for the program.

Result: Intermediate Outcome
Volunteers and community members from community events will utilize the
UCIMC's art and media
resources.
      Indicator: participants
        Target: 67% (400 people) of community members from
community-outreach events will volunteer at
                 the UCIMC or otherwise utilize the UCIMC's art and media
resources.
  Target Value:           67%
   Instruments: Again, the UCIMC's database will be formatted to collect
contact information as well as relationship
                 information. Names collected at these events can then be
checked against new volunteer and
                 visitor names.
PM Statement: 67% of community members met at community-outreach events will
utilize the UCIMC's arts and
                 media resources.
Prev. Yrs. Data: No data are available for previous years, this will be the
first year for the program.

Result: End Outcome
Increased community involvement in the UCIMC will result in 100 new and
committed volunteers.
The UCIMC will provide the art and media tools to raise awareness and the
meeting space to house
such an effort.
      Indicator: sustained service projects
        Target: Increased community involvement in the UCIMC will result in
100 new committed volunteers.
  Target Value:         100
   Instruments: Monthly State AmeriCorps report and Steering meetings will
record all new programs and
                 developments within the UCIMC.
PM Statement: AmeriCorps members will educate community members about the
UCIMC at 30 community events
                 throughout the course of the year, resulting in involvement
by 400 community members, 100 of
                 whom will become committed volunteers who use the UCIMC's
resources to target and address shared community needs.

*Community Media and Arts Education Programming*

Result: Output
Community members attend AmeriCorps-host community educational trainings and
workshops on
performance art, visual art, news media, community center maintenance.
      Indicator: Workshops and/or trainings held.
        Target: AmeriCorps members will host 23 community education
workshops / trainings.
  Target Value:         23
   Instruments: The workshops and trainings will be recorded on the UCIMC
interactive web calendar, as well as in the monthly reports and steering
meeting updates.
PM Statement: AmeriCorps members will host 23 community education workshops
on performance art, visual art,
                 and news media.
Prev. Yrs. Data: No data are available for the previous years; this will be
the first year for the program.

Result: Intermediate Outcome
Community Members will attend AmeriCorps hosted training and workshops.
      Indicator: participants
        Target: Each workshop/training should attract from 5-10 community
members, 7 being the average
                 (limitations on participation will provide better
one-on-one attention to training, particularly on
                 complicated equipment and are also due to space limitations
in
  Target Value:             7
   Instruments: AmeriCorps volunteers will be asked to count attendees and
submit this information for the monthly
                 report.

Result: End Outcome
Community members who have attended workshops and trainings will utilize the
UCIMC's resources
 to contribute to or to create visual art, performing art pieces, and news
media pieces to address
community needs.
      Indicator: Increase in civic knowledge and skills
        Target: 80% of workshop participants will use skills from the
workshop to create visual or performance
                 art or news media.
  Target Value:           80%
   Instruments: Workshop and training participants will be asked to fill out
a short survey regarding their objectives
                 in taking the workshop. News media creation will be
captured in the UCIMC's news paper and on
                 the website. Radio production can be tracked by broadcast
schedule. Ideally, visual and
                 performing artists will accept the invitation to display
their work at the UCIMC.
PM Statement: 80% of community members who have attended workshops or
trainings will utilize the UCIMC's
                 resources to create visual art, performing art pieces, and
news media pieces.
