MyGoodDeed and HandsOn Network, the volunteer activation division of Points
of Light Institute, have partnered with Scholastic to develop lesson plans
that will provide one million teachers with ideas and activities to engage
youth in service and service learning as part of this year's historic
anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks.



*GlaxoSmithKline* (GSK), a national contributor for 9/11 Day, has a deep
commitment to education and has made it possible for us to offer these
important tools and resources. Throughout September, GSK employees will be
out in their communities working in local schools with a focus on advancing
our nation's education system. Special thanks to Target, which donated gift
cards to support teachers leading 9/11 Day activities in the classroom.

mentors and other educators provide constructive lessons on the events of

participate in the 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance.

The 9/11 nonprofit MyGoodDeed and HandsOn Network, the volunteer activation

Americans to commemorate the anniversary of Sept. 11 as a National Day of
Service and Remembrance, leading the efforts to inspire one million acts of
charitable service in tribute to the victims, survivors and those who rose
to service in response to the attacks 10 years ago.
