Hello,

I'm inquiring about having a fieldtrip at the UCIMC.  I'm currently a
professor in Communication Studies at Eastern Illinois University, and I'm
currently teaching a summer class titled Alternative Media. We are looking
to explore how the IMC fosters alternative media within the community.  We
would be interested in learning about the history of IMC, current community
initiatives, your radio programming, workshops, DIY approach towards booking
and hosting events, and publication etc.  A walking tour and time for Q/A
would be great.  If you have some sort of video or documentary about IMC,
that would also be of interest.  Hopefully this visit could begin to foster
a relationship between UCIMC and my department at Eastern.

We are looking to conduct this on Monday, June 6th, from 10 am until noon
(approximate times). The class is small, about 11 students. I think it would
be extremely valuable for the students to be able to experience the IMC
firsthand.
