ocCUpy didn't grow into 'should' do this or that; rather, it offered a
venue for groups growing into democratic discussions where you face, listen
to, each other, make plans and act on them. Lurking, or copy&paste texts
that make sense virtually, yet might take time from our friends doesn't
offer us the same listening and presence; also, it's much easier to offend
someone when not looking or listening to them; pretty much like the 1%
hiding there, anonymously making decisions that offend us and our lives.

Retired academics using our list for their agendas was never an intent for
which we created the ocCUpy listserv; detestably, they took advantage of,
and have been abusing, our listserv, giving us a piss(contest) of their
beautiful minds.
