[OccupyCU] Urgent Springfield Update

It appears that SB1556 has failed by one single vote.  Sen. Frerichs did vote No, so in a way we can say it was his that killed the bill.  Righter voted Yes, for those in his area.

Urgent:  With the lame duck session coming to a close, action is needed to stop the Senate from passing anti-union legislation.

The Illinois Senate is planning to consider legislation late tonight or early tomorrow that would eliminate collective bargaining protection for thousands of public employees and has the potential to affect nearly every union which represents public employees under the Illinois Labor Relations Act.   (Please see the attached Legislative Fact Sheet)

Your input is needed to convince Senate Leadership and Members of the Senate to vote against this anti-labor legislation.
