Urbana seeks input from artists and arts-related organizations on Public
Arts Program

The City of Urbana Public Arts Task Force is hosting a luncheon for
artists and arts-related organizations on Wednesday, November 7th, from
noon to 1:30 pm, in the Urbana Civic Center, located at 108 East Water
Street, Urbana.  The Urbana Public Arts Task Force seeks input from
artists regarding the Urbana Public Arts Program.  During lunch,
participants will be invited to participate in a discussion about the
role of the arts in people's lives, and provide input on how a Public
Arts Program can best serve the community.  Additionally, staff will
present an overview of the accomplishments of the Public Arts Program to
date.  RSVP for the luncheon is requested.  The luncheon is sponsored by
the Urbana Business Association and 40North|88West.

The Urbana Public Arts Task Force was established by the City in March
2007, to help establish a proposed Urbana Public Arts Commission and
Public Arts Program.  The Task Force meets on the first Tuesday of each
month, at 7:00 PM, in the Urbana Council Chambers.  All meetings are
open to the public and public input is welcome.
