At saturday's general meeting we discussed two recent show proposals for the same time slot on Wed from 8-10

our time, your time, wont you time.
  The Tipping Point

The decision was made to not finalize anything until the groups have completed their training and paid their membership dues. I had previously indicated that the slot would be given to Our Time, Your Time, Wont You Time since they had requested it first, however it was explained that really we can not approve a show until the members of the programming group have become rfu members, and have been trained. I know that both groups have been communicating and trying to get a time arranged to be trained. I have passed your information on to Ghost, who will either be contacting you, or if he is not able to do the training, I will be contacting you for the training.

At any rate, the next step is to get your dues paid, and your training done and then we will look for approval at the next General Meeting for show time slots for both of you. Let me know if you are able to arrange training with Ghost. The membership dues are $18 for one year for WRFU and an IMC membership is $25, $50, or $100 for one year, based on what you can afford as I understand. The rfu membership runs from Sept thru Aug, so for this year it will be $4.50, and then in Sept, you will pay $18 for the upcoming year. You can read more about the IMC membership at http://www.ucimc.org/info/membership. Since the IMC web site does not support the rfu membership jointly, the best way to do this, is to use a paper form and mail it in with the money, $4.50 and the amount for the IMC. The paper form is designed to support both memberships. I will pick one up for you tomorrow , scan it and e-mail it to you.

Each show needs at least two people in a programming group -- which you both submitted. Both of those people will need to become members and be trained.

I hope that this is helpful. If you have questions about the IMC membership, you could send them to me -- but I will probably be passing them on to Michelle Shumate at the IMC. If you would like to ask her directly, her e-mail is shumate at uiuc.edu.
