Ron,

Thanks for this.

The most useful approach in future is if you can accompany any check
with a note regarding the proposed split - if this is done there
should be no need to issue separate checks, as Joy (in charge of
bookkeeping for the IMC) can split the allocation in our accounting
system). All checks should be made out to UC-IMC, but it can sometimes
be difficult to know the intended split.

I've contacted Joy letting her know of the intended split, and she
should correct that in the system.

Regarding allocating the $60 (donated on July 21st) towards 2009 and
2010 membership - I'm copying our Membership group on this mail, so
they are aware of the issue. You should keep a copy of this mail for
your records, as, given our volunteer-based system, our membership
group may change in membership over the coming year(s). I should also
note that it is possible that our membership rates may increase in the
coming year(s), in which case the $30 p.a. would be allocated towards
the then-prevailing rate.

I should also note that the WRFU membership year currently operates
From September to August - I'm presuming that your intention was for
the March payment to be applied to the payment due this September,
with the July payments being allocated to the September '09 and
September '10 payments.
