[Rfu-station] Using the CD players

Earlier this week Noel noted on the TECH list that the 'search dial'  
on the front cover of the CD2 player has once again been removed.

As you read the following, picture it being enunciated slowly and  
clearly:
Our equipment is important and valuable. We cannot afford to replace  
it. The 'search' dial is important for those using the player.  
Removing the dial has damaged the equipment and damaged our ability to  
operate.

DO NOT damage the equipment. DO NOT experiment with taking apart our  
equipment.

Now, moving forward:
- If you were the person who removed the dial from the CD player,  
email me to let me know how and why this happened.
- If you noticed the dial being missing before 9pm Tuesday night (or  
know that it was present when you were in studio), let me know so we  
can figure out who was responsible for this. Obviously, if the person  
contacts me before we figure out who they are it will be better for  
them.
- Creative suggestions as to how to discourage people from further  
damaging our equipment is welcome. Policies for punishment are one  
possible avenue, but more useful would be processes that will prevent  
damage from occurring in the first place.
