[Rfu-station] WRFU meeting this Saturday

WRFU's next regular membership meeting will be tomorrow, Saturday  
20th. Lots of important stuff to discuss, so please come with your  
thinking caps ON!

Agenda items include:

1 Station Manager: decision time!
We'll be considering the nomination of Lori Serb for the position of  
Station Manager. Lori will be present to answer questions from  
members. Our goal is to come to a decision on this important issue at  
this meeting.

2 A/V equipment
Proposal: to purchase up to 3 Zoom H-2 units for use in the station
- Steering reinstated our 'Radio News' fund at its last meeting
- There will be a series of Youth Workshops at the IMC this summer,  
which will provide training in A/V interviewing and editing to local  
youth. It will be helpful to have portable recorders available for  
this course
- Recorders would subsequently be available for news programming and  
other similar activities at the station

3 Schedule Tech Work Day
- There are various pieces of maintenance needed with our equipment  
and studio, including documenting our air-chain, and checking the  
operation of all our equipment.
- When our EAS/Automation cabinet is built in the near future it will  
be necessary to move our equipment from the production room to that  
cabinet.
- A workday provides a great opportunity for 'learning through doing'
- We will consider suitable dates for this activity

4 Tower update: we may have located a cheaper tower, making our end- 
goal very much within reach. Time to get busy on the next steps.
