[Trees] Pruning afoot?

Hi folks. I posted the first question and have received some replies but
not a lot of specific information.

(1) I did not get to speak directly with my Urbana caller who left me a
message about pruning in his area, and I don't know exactly where his
house is. I may see him tomorrow and can ask. I referred him though to
the Urbana City Arborist if he's in city limits.

(2) Someone replied to me about reports of tree cutting in Orchard Downs.
The details were not clear or resolved from what I could discern.
Presumably not IP related.

(3) I have seen University O&M actively pruning on campus property these
days. Nothing particularly alarming that I happened to notice, except a
few head-scratchers. Presumably not IP related.

(4) If you see suspicious trimming activity approaching your area, TAKE
PICTURES. In all cases of environmental and property damage,
documentation IS CRITICAL. Take pictures before, and after, and during if
you're game. If you take pictures before and nothing happens after all,
you're only out a few bucks and maybe the campaign could use them anyway.

(5) As a general reminder, please be judicious when replying to a message
on the Trees email list:

- If your reply message is safe to be public, then reply to the Trees list
and not to the individual sender. "Reply to All" will do this although it
is preferable to send only to the list.

- If your reply message is definitely not ready to be public, then Reply
only to the sender. (Do not Reply to all or to the list.)

- Please delete unnecessary content from the original message.

Finally, please continue this thread on the list; I am not personally
involved in coordinating any of this activity. I posted to encourage the
public forum.

Thanks,
Bill Saylor

PS Great job by so many of you who participated in the ICC public meeting
in Champaign the other week!
