Hi Volunteers,

Hope you all had a great weekend and are looking forward to Halloween on
Wednesday! Here are all the upcoming events~

Saturday, November 10th- Avary's Angels Memorial Walk
Times: 7:00am-3:00pm (registration/check-in forevent will begin at 8:30am,
but we may need help setting up)
Location: Lincoln Square Mall, Urbana (corner of Illinois St. & Vine)

Stacey Poster is working with Amy Hanson to plan  a memorial walk in honor
of her daughter who was born prematurely and passed away this past May.  All
proceed from this walk will benefit the March of Dimes and raise awareness
of prematurity issue. November is Prematurity Awareness Month.

We will be in need of volunteers the day of the walk for various activities,
including help with registration/check in, distributing t-shirts, face
painting, silent auction help, and such.

Tuesday, November 27th- Circle of Friends Reading Day

Volunteers are needed to help read to Circle of Friends Senior Citizens who
have trouble reading. Great chance to directly touch someone's life and make
a new friend!

Thursday November 29th- Root Beer Float

Come out and join VIP Senior Citizens monthly Root Beer Float night! Help
set up, spend time with residents, and enjoy a float or two yourself! :)

Saturday December 1st- Parade of Lights

Take part in this festive holiday parade and help manage the parade route,
direct participants, and serve hot chocolate. Will be a great time!
4:30-7:30

Sunday December 2nd- Habitat for Humanity Gift Wrapping

Come help Habitat by wrapping gifts at Market Place Mall! Shifts are 3 hours
long and go from 10:45-2, 2-5, or 5-8 .

Tuesday December 11th- Santa Phone Calls

Take a break from finals and brighten up a kid's day! Male volunteers needed
from 4:30PM-8PM to act like Santa and make phone calls to eager children
with holiday wishes.
