NEWS

- Even emails seem to be affected by the sickness that is going around town
these days. But the Hitlist is back with a lot of news.

- First and foremost, today (Sunday) is the BLACK PARTY at Boltini Lounge.
Last year's Black Party was a slice of insanity, and it looks like this is
shaping up to be even more crazy. Mertz will be spinning the tunes, there
will be people decked out in fetish wear, there will be a fire dancer and
just all around good times. No cover, no dress code and no attitude. For

- Monday nights have returned to C-Street with resident DJ SorceryKid
spinning industrial and EBM. Last week's launch was a big success, and this
week special guest DJ Hearsay from Indianapolis will join him this week on
the 21st. There is a $2 cover, but it is also 19+ to get in. Have a look at

- The Sunday Night Soundsystem TONIGHT will feature The Infinite
Imagination, a newcomer named Mike, and Geist. You can tune in on 104.5 FM
if you are in Champaign Urbana.

- Chillax returns on Sunday, January 27. Mertz will be getting this weekly
series started, which will feature all of your local favorite DJs digging up
their downtempo and chilled beats to help set the vibe. Also, keep your eyes
out for a feature in this week's Buzz about Chillax. This night will take
place every Sunday at the Highdive. The Hitlist will bring you the lineup
every week.

- Our man Spinnerty has been doing some big things from the Bay Area. This
Champaign kid just released his first record! It is a 45 that you can pick
up at Exile on Main St. or at Turntable Lab (check out the
writeup<http://www.turntablelab.com/vinyl/0/0/37577.html>our man Dan
got!) Always great to see Champaign DJs doing big things!

- And then some bad news, Wednesday nights at Boltini and Happy Hour Fridays
at Boltini are going on hiatus during the cold winter months. Make sure when
these nighs come back that you go out and support!
