*As the leaves and flowers return, so do the pedalling masses. *
Hi all - Just a short note to let you know what's going on at The Bike
Project and around town.

*New Door* - You may have noticed the new door installed between the art
studio and The Bike Project. This has been a long term goal of the co-op to
help secure the space and protect the valuable tools in the co-op. Much
thanks to Joel for his help in getting this done. In the next couple of
weeks the door will have a lock installed that will be consistent with the
#24 key that opens the door between the hallway and the art studio. This is
the key that TBP members can get with a $20 deposit after attending an
orientation session.

*Keys* - The IMC is revisiting the keying of the external doors of the IMC
building. We have folks attending the IMC meetings to stay on top of this
and we may have to swap out keys with staffers or other members that put
down a key deposit / IMC membership for 24/7 access to the building. Stay
tuned.

*New Tools* - The Bike Project now has a cotter pin press and some new chain
whips that are really nifty. There are also two TS-2 truing stands in the
shop now to help reduce wait time when truing wheels. As always - if you
don't know how to use a tool, please ask first. Not only do broken tools
cost the co-op (and therefore you) money, the next person that needs the
tool will need to wait until a replacement is ordered. If during the course
of a repair you do break a tool, please let a staff member know and make
sure it gets onto the list of co-op needs for the next wholesale order.

*Boneyard Arts Festival / IMC Fest* - This weekend. Lots of local arts and
music events. All within riding distance. See you there.

*The Bike Project General Meeting* - Sunday, April 26th, 5-6:30PM at the
co-op. Food provided.

   - Review and modify the agenda online at -

   - Great way to get involved and meet fellow bike junkies.

See you around town - most likely from the seat of my 3-spd Huffy (even
though Todd makes fun of it).
