[Bikecoop-announce] Bike Events this Weekend - Reminder!

Hey all,

Couple of good reasons to get out and about in downtown Urbana this
weekend.  Both are bike related!

*The Urbana Sweetcorn Festival - Ride your Bike, Get a free ear of corn!*

   - Bike Parking (a large bike corral) is located in the 1st floor of the
   downtown parking garage.
   - Stop by the info table for your coupon - staffed by Champaign County
   Bikes and The Bike Project volunteers
   - Bring your own locks, and if you're staying late don't forget blinky
   lights.
   - The festival is Friday evening and all day Saturday - more info @

*Veer Documentary and Schwinntonation Music - Sunday Night at the UC-IMC*

   - Join us for an evening of bicycle music and a bicycle culture
   documentary based on the scene in Portland, OR.
   - Music starts @ *6PM* and will be followed by the movie starting
   approximately at *7PM*.
   - Tickets are available at the door.  $10 General Admission, but *discounted
   to $5* for members of The Bike Project, the UC-IMC, Champaign County
   Bikes, and Prairie Cycle Club.  You can get (or renew) a Bike Project or
   UC-IMC membership at the door and still receive the discount.
   - Kids under 12 are FREE! - but may only want to stay for the music.  The
   documentary has some mature themes (strong language, some brief nudity, and
   a bit of bike-on-bike violence).  If parents attend with kiddos and only
   stay for the music, the adult tickets will only be $3 each.
