Hey all,

The General Meetings have assumed extra importance now that The Bike Project
has received a nicely sized charitable donation. As a cooperative, member
input is needed on how to go about spending that donation in pursuit of The
Bike Project's mission.

*General Meeting, Tuesday, January 26th, 6-8PM at The Bike Project*

   - View and edit the agenda on the Wiki -
   http://thebikeproject.wikispaces.com/orgmeet-2010-Jan-26
   - *Some important aganda items* - Campus Bike Project, Earn-a-Bike
Program, Steering Committee Nominations and Voting, Bylaws Discussion, and
   How to Spend Co-op Funds
   - The decisions that get made at this meeting determine which direction
the co-op is heading. Your input and vote as a member makes a difference.
Also a good place for new members to learn more about what goes on at The
Bike Project aside from fixing your own rig.
   - Pizza and drinks are provided at the monthly general meetings.

*Free Bike Fit Clinic, Sunday, January 31st from 2-3PM at The Bike Project*

   - A short bike fit clinic will be provided by TBP member and Crow Dog
bike fit business owner Karen Partlow.
   - If you're looking to buy a bike, the size of the bike is the first
   detail you will need.
   - The clinic is open to both members and non-members of The Bike
Project. Let your friends know about this event if they are looking to get
   a bike this Spring.

*We need kid's bikes - Earn-a-Bike Program Starting Soon*

   - Our hard working Americorp volunteer is putting together a youth
   Earn-a-Bike Program.
   - Local kids will have the opportunity to work with TBP volunteers
to tune up a bike to be donated to a charitable organization, and then tune
up a second bike for their own use.
   - In order to support this program, The Bike Project needs to increase
its stock of gently used kids bikes.
   - Check your garage and tell your friends. We can use everything from
small training wheel bikes to 24" teen bikes.
