Here is the last newsletter of Summer 2018:

*August Members' Meetings, Tomorrow at 6:30 pm*
We will have our monthly members' meeting tomorrow*, Monday, August
27, at **6:30
pm **at the IMC location (basement)*. We'll discuss the agenda at

*The Next WTF Night On September 3, 6:30-9:00 pm*
The next Women and Trans Folks night at The Bike Project will be on the
Labor Day *Monday, September 3rd, at the IMC location, 6:30 - 9:00 pm*.

*The Bike Maintenance 101 Class, Free for all TBP Members & UIUC Students*
Come and learn the basics of bike maintenance like oiling the chain,
patching flats, and adjusting brakes and shifting.
*This is a demonstration-only class; please do not bring your bike. *

*Date: September 4 and 25*
*Time: 7:00 - 8:00 pm*
*Location: MP6 in ARC on UIUC campus *
*FREE for all TBP members/UIUC students*

*TBP's First Year at CUDays *
For the first time, thanks to our volunteers, TBP was able to table at
CUDays at Douglass Park.

Michael, a TBP member and volunteer staff, chose to ride our large
penny-farthing from the IMC shop all the way to the Douglass Park and back.
He was cheered on by pedestrians, cyclists, and drives.

*Tire Levers and Small Wrenches at the IMC Shop*
We have been missing tire levers and small wrenches at the IMC shop. If you
have mistakenly taken them please kindly return them. It has happened to
many of us to put small tools in our pockets while doing repairs and forget
to return them to the tools board by the end of the shop hours.

*Bicycle Friendly Community Survey for Urbana*
As part of our review process of each applicant Bicycle Friendly Community
<http://www.bikeleague.org/community>, League of American Bicyclists
<http://www.bikeleague.org/> are collecting input from local bicyclists
and bike advocates about their experiences and perceptions of biking
conditions in Urbana through the survey linked below. These survey
responses are used both to inform the League’s BFC award decision, as well
as to provide (anonymous) local feedback to the applicant community about
how they can improve conditions for bicyclists.

If you would like to provide feedback, please complete the following survey
