WE WANT YOUR INPUT AND WE WANT YOUR VOTE

UNITED NATURAL FOODS INC. WANTS TO ACQUIRE BLOOMING PRAIRIE

Blooming Prairie is the primary wholesale distributor for Common Ground.
Blooming Prairie is a co-operatively owned wholesale natural foods
distributor. They have provided excellent service to Common Ground, and are
a financially successful co-operative distributor. At present the board of
directors for Blooming Prairie is recommending that the business be
purchased by/merge with United Natural Foods Inc. United Natural Foods Inc.
is the largest natural foods distributor in the nation, and a publicly
traded corporation. This merging process would dissolve the co-operative,
and Common Ground would receive our equity back.

The membership of Blooming Prairie is voting on the proposed sale. Our vote
is due by mail September 27th. We intend to mail in our ballot on Monday
September 23rd. We are asking for Common Ground members to vote and give
feed back until the store closes on Friday September 20th. The results of
our member votes will be posted in the store on September 23rd.

Members have been working hard to gather information.    We are posting it
on the Website, http://www.commongroundcoop.org, and in the store. Feedback
and votes can be given via email and in the store.
