The Academy for Entrepreneurial Leadership (AEL) at the UIUC
has announced that grants are available to graduate students
interested in writing a case study about a local (non-profit)
organization.

Here's how it works. The organization in question should be
facing some kind of difficult decision (moving, expansion,
funding, recruitment, retention, etc). The case study is
written in consultation with a professor and the staff at the
AEL. The professor will use the study as part of some future
curriculum for a course about entrepreneurship. This is a way
for the AEL to increase entrepreneurial course offerings at
the university.

The case study would be a valuable tool to help an executive
board (such as a board of directors) make the best possible
informed decision based on the experience of many others and
the knowledge of experts.

The AEL is a new department at the university that has
received significant funding from the Kauffman Foundation and
whose mission is to establish and promote research in the
entrepreneurial field. The staff is professional,
knowledgeable, well connected and very nice.

This is a great way to supplement academic funding and also
provide some expert consultation services to local
organizations that could help them develop optimal planning
and management change strategies.

Attached you will find more information.

And you can find examples of case studies at (scroll down to
