[Commotion-dev] Other service discovery systems for mesh?

I'm going to write a blog post about the latest version of Commotion's service discovery and management system, and I wanted to compare it with what else it out there.

Does anyone know of other mesh platforms or technologies that do automated service discovery or advertising of local applications on a network (besides Bonjour/mDNS/zeroconf)?
