Applebee's and Johnny Carino's Restaurants Go Smokefree

Kentucky-based Thomas & King, the nation's 11th-largest restaurant-franchise operator, announced yesterday that all of its Applebee's and Johnny Carino's restaurants will go smokefree by the end of May.  The restaurants are located in Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Pennsylvania and Arizona.  

"The No. 1 way to drive customer sales is to drive customer satisfaction," said Mike Scanlon, president of Thomas & King. "The No. 1 way to drive customer satisfaction is to make all of our restaurants, almost 80 of them, smoke-free."
