Last night, the Deerfield Village Board unanimously expressed support
for the strongest possible clean indoor air ordinance.  They stated that
they want to be used as an example for other communities who wish to be
smoke free.  They are expected to vote on December 5th to make all
workplaces, no exceptions, 100% smoke free.   There was only one person
who spoke in opposition and he was a sophomore in high school.

 

While Deerfield does not have any stand alone bars - it does have a
thriving restaurant/bar business as well as several large hotels with
bars.
