[C-U Smokefree] Tue May 15 7pm Champaign City Council meeting to REPEAL Clean Indoor Air Ordinance

C-U Smokefree Alliance,

Two very important items:

1) Tonight the Champaign City Council will vote to REPEAL their
   Clean Indoor Air Ordinance.  Agenda for the 7pm meeting:

I would like to get a good turnout to tonight's meeting with many
speakers.  This is our Last Stand and we are absolutely obligated
to fight to the end and to bear witness to this shameful disgrace.
Bring something to read because the REPEAL is at the end of the agenda.
If you can't be there from the beginning, arriving when you can.
Afterwards I'll treat everyone to Jupiter's.

2) Call Governor Blagojevich today at (217) 782-6830 asking him
   to PLEASE SIGN the Smoke Free Illinois Act with NO CHANGES.

See below for details.  It only takes a couple minutes, so please
don't procrastinate.

We need your help again..  Governor Blagojevich is receiving a flood of
calls requesting an amendatory veto to exclude the casinos from the
Smoke Free Illinois Act.

CALL TO ACTION!

Please call Governor Blagojevich and ask him to sign the Smoke Free
Illinois Act as it was sent to him . with NO CHANGES!!  ALL workers in
Illinois deserve protection from the carcinogens and toxins in
secondhand smoke . casino workers too!!!  No one should be exposed to
secondhand smoke as part of their job!  The casino lobby group is
extremely powerful and well funded . we need every single smoke free
advocate to make a call to the Governor.s office as soon as possible!

numbers go to the same person) and leave a message asking him to PLEASE
SIGN the Smoke Free Illinois Act as it was sent to him . with NO
CHANGES!  Please send on to your lists, ask your friends, co-workers,
neighbors and family to make the call too!!!  Even if you have already
called . PLEASE CALL AGAIN!!
