[Cu-wireless] status report

Hmm. That didn't come out as clearly as I had intended.
I am happy to help out financially by going in on a purchase of some
equipment for the use of the community.
In addition I'd like to bring a node up at my house. I should be able to
provide my own equipment for the node.
Two seperate things, not at all dependent on one another...
