We had a lovely time yesterday evening I must say, despite the succesful
pledge drive.

In two weeks we hope to broadcast a composition by Bethany Cooper that
premiered in the Big Apple last weekend. There is also a recording of a
piece by Rick Burkhardt and possibly other noteworthy moments as well.

Due to a MYSQL class I signed up to long before they offered me the
timeslot, I may not be able to host Eclectic Seizure from 8-10 on the
following Wednesdays:

Nov. 8
Nov.22
Dec. 6

Nov.22 is a suggested date for the next Newspoetry Radio, but that's up
to whoever subs the show. Anyone who might be interested in hosting a
show on any of those dates please let me know.

Also, on Saturday November 11th at noon, I need someone to help
interview Q.Synopsis on From Bard to Verse. Q.Synopsis will be reading
from his published work and I would love someone else to ask him
questions... about any topic, really.

Of less importance:

I'm looking for someone to play the part of a Marxist priest for a
reading of George Steiner's "Proofs," a story about the role of
communism in a post-cold-war consumer-driven world. And about
proofreading. Other parts are available as well. I don't know when this
will be broadcast. I just know it has to be done. I will happily feed on
your interest in doing this.

And again finally, the Phil Ochs Story will happen one of these days,
hopefully this fall: an informative two-hour special on the life and
especially music of one of the 1960's most outspoken newspoets. I'd like
for this to serve as an introduction to the man, for those who haven't
heard of him, but also an in-depth look at the songs, for those who need
no introduction. Anyone interested in reading, doing research, writing,
or playing songs is encouraged to add glittering shreds of enthusiasm to
the slowly growing tinfoil ball of that future project.

And what other ideas for shows can we come up with?

That's all. Thanks.
William
