The Public i is also holding a series of layout workshops this Spring, with
our very own Dave P!

posters, zines, business cards, CD art, books, brochures, or newspapers? All
sessions are held at the Independent Media Center at 202 S. Broadway in
Urbana and are open to anyone who's interested. Some sessions are
specifically about how to help out with layout for the Public i; others are
about layout design in general and more tailored to participants' interests.

Saturday, February 27th, 2-4pm (General interest)

Feb. 27th, 8pm Claudia Schmidt Performance

One critic has described a Claudia Schmidt concert as "....a lot like
falling in love. You never know what's going to happen next, but chances are
it's going to be wonderful, every moment is burned into your memory, and you
know you'll never be the same again." Over her 30 years-and-counting career,
Claudia has lent her beautifully expressive singing and speaking voice to
wide ranging performance mediums. As a touring professional she has
traversed North America as well as Europe and became well-known to public
radio listeners during her regular stints on "A Prairie Home Companion" in
its early incarnation.
