Applications are being taken for the inaugural *Chicago Southside Mini
Maker Faire* <http://chicagosouthsidemakerfaire.com>. This public
celebration of making by makers of all ages on *Saturday, August 3,
2013*is a great opportunity to share something you made, or a special
making
process, with the Chicago community. The faire will be held *from 11am
until 6pm at Daley College, 7500 S Pulaski, 60652* (just 2 miles south of
Midway airiport) with ample free parking.  Participation is free for makers
who are not selling anything, but there are limited booths available.

Selected makers will exhibit projects that are interactive, provide an
opportunity for visitors to learn about your project and/or process, and
are fun.  Projects can be made by individuals, teams, school groups, Senior
Living Communities, scouts, hobby clubs, 4-H clubs, actually, anyone!
(Makers under 18 must have an adult representing them and present in their
booth at all times)  Projects can be physical or digital, they just need to
be engaging.

*Early Bird application deadline is June 22* (notifications go out June 29)
and *final applications are due July 4* (notifications go out July 11).
