 *Family Science Day and Bot Brawl 2014 are coming!*



This year’s event will take place on *Saturday, April 5th, 2014* from *11
a.m. to 4 p.m.* in *Redbird Arena*, Normal, IL.



*What is Family Science Day?  *Family Science Day is a public outreach
event to inspire and educate preK-8 students in the fields of science,
technology, engineering, and mathematics.  This family-friendly event
encourages scientific discovery through hands-on activities, challenges,
and demonstrations while providing the opportunity to learn about
scientific careers from actual research scientists and science educators.
In addition, the event helps to raise awareness of the importance of STEM
in our society.



*What is Bot Brawl? *Family Science Day is happy to be the venue again for
the Central Illinois Robotics Club (CIRC) Bot Brawl Tournament.  This
robotics tournament is one of the largest hobby robotics competitions in
the country and includes RC combat, sumo robotics, autonomous line
following, and more.



*Sounds cool…How can I participate?  *We are currently seeking EXHIBITORS.
Please find attached an exhibitor packet with more details.  Registration
can be completed online at www.familyscienceday.com.  The best part
is, *exhibiting
is FREE!  *We have limited space, so exhibits will be filled on a
first-come, first-serve basis.



This year’s theme for Family Science Day is *“The Maker.”*  See the
attached flyer for more information about The Maker Movement.  While we
encourage you to incorporate the theme into your activities, your booth
does not have to fit into this theme in order to exhibit.



If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact
