[Imc-makerspace] CU Make-a-thon (April 11-12): Volunteers needed!

[MakerSpace Urbana]

The first ever Champaign Urbana Make-a-thon is taking place next weekend
(April 11, 12).

The goal of the make-a-thon is simple: come up with a solution to help
seniors by building a physical prototype in 30 hours!  There will be a
series of workshops in addition to open work time at the Fab Lab and the
Architecture Annex.

Want to get involved?  There are 2 ways:

   - Be a participant: sign up <https://zonghe.typeform.com/to/njiiPU>
   either as an individual or as part of a team.  There will be prizes!

   - Volunteer: we need people to help out during the workshops at *11am*
   and *2pm* on Saturday.  If you have a couple of hours, what better way
   to spend them?

Workshops range from AutoDesk CAD training to sewable electronics and
wearables.  FabLab <http://cucfablab.org/> is hosting a train-the-trainer
session on Friday evening (April 10) at 6pm.  Stop by if you can volunteer.
