KIWANE'S FUTURE: ART AND PERFORMANCE HONORING KIWANE CARRINGTON

Saturday, December 12th: The UC-Independent Media Center is hosting
"Kiwane's Future", an art exhibit by local community members, youth,
and artists honoring Kiwane Carrington (1995-2009). The art exhibit
will open with open mic, original music and Speak Out from 7-9pm,
admission Free/Voluntary Donation.

"Kiwane's Future" will display art by community youths and by U of I
faculty member Patrick Hammie as well as installation pieces, live
original music, a community art piece and other tributes to Kiwane
Carrington including comments and responses collected from community
youth and youth advisors. Your contributions are invited.
