I should have thought to mention this when the subject of election day
coverage came up at the meeting Sunday. A number of us may do interviews
at polling places. It is important to do interviews only with those who
exit so that you won't be accused of electioneering. There may be those
who volunteer on the way in, but it generally looks better if you do
exit polling. It would also be advisable to check with election judges
before trying to do any inside coverage, which I assume would have to be
limited to asking the judges about turnout and such nonpartisan things.

Just an effort to try to avoid any more journalists from being expelled
from public buildings...
