Yes -- I came up against this policy when Michael Moore was here.  I was 
told to stop videotaping and argued with the Illini Union rep.  I'd 
gotten permission directly from Moore's sister.  After I stopped he came 
back and told me it was OK, after checking with Moore's people I reckon.

So, my guess is if we get permission from Ritter, we can record.

For what it's worth, the Union does allow recording a small portion for 
news purposes -- that's what they told me at the Moore talk -- just not 
typically whole presentations.
