Pacifica Radio Network will provide 18-hour War Coverage
Pacifica Radio Network is standing by, prepared to immediately begin war
coverage if President Bush announces that bombing of Iraq has commenced.
For the first two consecutive days, coverage will be 18 hours from 6:00 AM
to midnight. Continuing coverage will be announced.

War coverage will be on the right channel of the KU Band while regular programming
will continue on the left channel.

Coverage Production will be a Joint Effort
Verna Avery Brown is the executive producer for the war coverage, which will
be produced jointly between the five Pacifica sister stations, Democracy
Now! and Free Speech Radio News.

Call to Affiliates for coverage of American Response
Pacifica plans to include coverage of local protest response in the first
two days and respectfully asks for help from your station. If your station
is planning to cover protests in your area at the onset of war, please consider
contributing this coverage to the Pacifica national war coverage. Contact
me (Ursula, contact ifo below)as soon as possible if you are interested in
doing this so Verna can include your coverage in the planning. Pacifica National
office regrets that at this time, it is not legally able to buy news stories
so we must ask for this to be a voluntary effort.
