FSRN EMERGENCY PART TIME PRODUCER - MAY 2003


FSRN seeks a person to work 4 hours per day as co-producer in a temporary
capacity for the month of May 2003. The co-producer will work the
post-deadline shift, starting around 4pm thru 8pm Est. The co-producer will
work with the full-time producer (Kata Mester) and host (Deepa Fernandes) for
the first hour as they hand over pending tasks and information from the day.
The co-producer's main tasks will be to complete pending tasks, firm up
features for the next day and continue  production for following days.
Duties include:
* edit reporter scripts
*Sort through email account - reply to some emails and pass on other incoming
emails to Kata/Deepa for them to deal with
* Sort reporter pitches for Editorial team to decide on
* Monitor newswires/news sources for stories FSRN may cover
* complete pending admin tasks
* update reporter data-base
* digitally edit reporter stories
* provide assistance to reporters as requested

Position pays 75$ US daily
