As a nurse, Anderson dedicated her life to helping others. She has been
instrumental in improving public health in Champaign-Urbana. Anderson
helped lead the movement to get a public health department in Champaign
County. She also serves on the County Board as a liason to the Mental
Health Board, In addition, she has been involved in local labor rights
movements.

The Illinois Disciples Foundation is a peace with justice campus ministry
dedicated to the rights of all people. Activist Forum is a program of the
IDF and seeks to bring seasoned activists to share their experiences.

The IDF is located at the NW corner of Springfield and Wright in
Champaign.
