Several months after Bush called the war to an official end (although
killing on both sides continues), we have little to no information about
the current situation Iraqi's face.  Below is a rare opportunity to hear 
from American Iraqis after their trip abroad.  I know Muhammad and Roaa

*Dr. Muhammad Alheeti is a local businessman, who has started a number of
successful local businesses over the last decade, including World Harvest
(formerly Hop n Shop); Sayyara Autos (now sold out); Basmati and Jerusalem
Restaurants (both now sold out). He and family have been residents of
Urbana-Champaign for over two decades contributing to the general
Urbana-Champaign community. He is a member of the CIMIC Board of Directors
and has been President of the CIMIC Association.

Dr. Alheeti has doctoral degree in Plant Pathology from the University of
Illinois. His previous degrees are from Iraq. He has been an active
participant on issues of national and international importance. He can be

*Roaa Alheeti is a senior at the University of Illinois at
Urbana-Champaign, IL with majors in Journalism and Law. She is a member of
the Muslim Students' Association and CIMIC. She has appeared on a number
of TV and Radio interviews and is a regular contributor to the Daily
Illini and her articles have also been published in the New York Times.
Roaa is also an instructor at the CIMIC Weekend School. She can be reached
