Hi Sandra and Radio folks:

I'm not in the production room as I write this, BUT I can give a guess as
to what to do to correct this problem:

The phone input should be channel 3 on the mixer. Turn DOWN the "PREAMP"
or "INPUT LEVEL" knob at the very very top of the channel strip for
channel 3. The "preamp"/"input gain"/"input level knob is the one
furthest away from the volume slider at the bottom of the channel strip.
It should be a black knob, a little bit smaller than all the other knobs
on the channel strip. It should be right below the input jack where the
cable plugs in to the mixer. Try setting it very low for starters--like
around "10 o'clock." If that setting is too low, try "high noon."

If this doesn't help clear up your signal, please e-mail again, and I can
take a look at the system.
