I talked to WBCP about broadcasting IMC Radio News. If everyone agrees we 
need to get this letter printed and a cd made of our last 3 shows delivered 
to them. Any input? Any volunteers?

Dear Mr. Britton,

Here are the three most recent editions of IMC Radio News. The show is a ½ 
hour weekly program of local and regional news produced at the Urbana 
Champaign Independent Media Center. It is produced entirely by volunteers. 
It is available every Monday afternoon. We have met every deadline for more 
than three years.

Besides being very unique in that it is a locally produced news program we 
also strive for a variety of voices. We hope our group can work together and 
that we will energize each other. I hope that by reaching more of 
African-American audience, we will be able to cover more news from the 
“north-end” of U-C easier, whether by your listeners calling in leads or by 
allowing them to be involved in IMC Radio News production.

We will continue to broadcast on WEFT and have recently added UPTV to our 
syndication. If we reach an agreement, WBCP will be mentioned weekly in our 
broadcast and so will be a method of “outreach” for your station.

We have no specific cost for our show. But we are hoping that each station 
that broadcast IMC Radio News can help with a nominal $15 weekly 
contribution so that we can cover our material costs. Your donation would be 
tax deductible.
