Subject: [Imc-info] Showcase your organization's work at the media reform
conference
Dear Colleague,
Free Press is inviting media activist organizations to be part of the "Media
Democracy Showcase" at the National Conference for Media Reform (May 13-15 in
St. Louis). A cross between a traditional exhibit hall at a trade show and a
'poster presentation' session at an academic conference, the Showcase will
allow participating groups to present their work through visual displays
(posters, brochures/fliers, and/or audio visual presentations) as well as short
presentations/conversations with visitors during a two-hour meet & greet on the
Saturday evening of the conference.
Because Free Press is committed to supporting the groups and projects doing the
crucial activism and organizing work in the media reform movement, and to
creating opportunities for those groups to meet, collaborate, and educate
others about their work, we have secured funding so that all Showcase slots
will be made available to eligible organizations at no cost to the exhibitors.
More information and eligibility requirements can be found at
www.freepress.net/conference/=showcase. To participate, please download and
complete the brief application found on that site and return it to Free Press
via fax or email per the instructions on the form. Showcase space is limited
and slots are being allocated to eligible groups on a first come, first serve
basis.
Any questions about the Media Democracy Showcase can be directed to
showcase at freepress.net or to Conference Program Coordinator Jordan Carduner at
413.585.1533 ext.31.
We hope to see you in St. Louis.
Sincerely,
Yolanda Hippensteele
Co-Director, National Conference for Media Reform
