I attended The National Conference for Media Reform that took place 
this past weekend May 13-15 2005.  One of the themes of the conference 
was,
"Shoddy Journalism, Government-funded propaganda, corporate 
consolidation.
Activists from across the country mobilize to fix our broken media 
system."

For over 25 weeks I have produced and co-produced the IMC Radio News 
for the Independent Media Center in Urbana Champaign and I am 
dreadfully concerned about whether I am producing Fake News in an 
attempt to provide an outlet for local media activists.  Providing an 
outlet for voices and opinions not often heard in the media also leaves 
the door wide open for propaganda and government influence.
