hi everyone,

i apologize for the cross-posting, i wanted to make sure that the groups
that might have physical tasks in need of volunteers had a chance to
respond.  it looks like we'll have about 12-15 volunteers from either the
DI or Lowes on hand on April 20th to do various tasks around the IMC.  i
need to respond ASAP as to what they will be doing (originally they were
scheduled to help build the back room & stage), and am hoping that the
librarians, tech folks, space, and shows group could provide tasks for
them.

we'll probably have them for about 4 hours starting about noon (though the
time is up to us).  SO -- if you have ideas (and are willing to lead
volunteers in making these projects happen), please e-mail me ASAP.

some ideas i've thought about, but would want a committment from a member
of the relevant group:

librarians -- help with data entry and other library stuff;
shows & space -- help with fixing up various things around the back room;
tech -- help with wiring/anything else.

these are just some ideas, but please get back to me within the next 24
hours.  we need to supply any tools or supplies they'll need, but i think
this is a great opportunity for selling the IMC to a group of folks who
probably have never done stuff with us before.
