[Imc-tech] helping the Indymedia Network:

I don't think there's much of a labor issue with supporting some more
lists IF we get the T1. I expect to be upgrading the groogroo server
sometime in the next year. The labor is basically the same IF they
have people dedicated to being the listadmins and IF there is a clear
policy about archives (the only annoying thing I have to deal with on
our lists now is when people demand that their contact info be purged
from our archives).

As far as getting a T1 goes...as discussed in the past...we need to
get a building first before we invest a lot of time and energy and
money into setting up the line, transitioning off of our existing DSL,
etc.

Perhaps the meeting tech needs to have is a long term infrastructure
vision meeting. I've been meaning to call such a meeting for a
while. Maybe now is the time. A meeting to map out what we would like
to do with our network infrastructure over the next few years and how
we will do it (labor- and money- and space-wise).
