The UofI Atmospheric Sciences Department along with NCSAs Experimental Technologies Group (ETG) are seeking to fill 2 part-time hourly Undergraduate programming positions available immediately and ending in May of 2004.   Extensions of the positions may be available pending satisfactory performance. The positions deal with the processing and visualization of Atmospheric Science data in conjunction with a collaboration between Professor Don Wuebbles of Atmospheric Science and NCSAs ETG.

Potential applicants must have experience with Unix or Linux and some experience programming.  Knowledge of one or more of the following programming or scripting languages is preferred: C, C++, Java, Perl, Python.  Knowledge of or an interest in atmospheric science, computer modeling, image processing, or visualization is further desirable.
