It may be to early to declare victory BUT since I installed a new
higher-end router last night (it is the same model router we used to
have 6 months ago before all the troubles started but which Sol Tec
couldn't sell me a replacement for) the net has not gone down or had
packet loss at all. It has been 12 hours of 100% uptime, no reboots
neccessary.

I'm not going to declare victory until the net has been up for a few
days straight but this is a very good sign. 

I'm still going to get a backup DSL line installed so I have some
bargaining muscle with Sol Tec in the future.
