Err, ten people at $50 gives $500, which isn't enough to get the hub and two
cards...

That's why I suggested 100BaseT :)  

I'd love to be at GigE, but for audio files of <500MB, 100BaseT means
less than a minute of transfer time, which seems reasonable.  Truth be
told, the I/O controllers, hard discs, and Win2k would probably crap
out before we make out 100BaseT.

(I know I just recently told you I wanted to go to GigE as a wish
list, and I still do, but for the forseeable future 100BaseT and a
decent server will suffice.)
